Welcome to Bridging the Gap 1 by 1

Carla Roberson is a native of Clemson, SC. Carla received her BS in Criminal Justice and shortly afterwards, she started her career in Law Enforcement at South Carolina Probation, Parole, and Pardon Services. She later  joined the force at Anderson Police Department, where she met her husband Michael Roberson. Carla is currently the Lieutenant of Criminal Investigation Division.

Michael Roberson is a native of Savannah, GA. Michael joined the US NAVY after graduating high school, where he retired after 21 years of service as a combat corpsman. Michael moved to Anderson, SC and  joined the force at Anderson Police Department. Michael is currently a Lieutenant on Patrol.

To educate and open the lines of communication between the community and Law Enforcement.

After the unrest in Ferguson, Baltimore, New York, and Charleston, SC, Michael and I decided to take action and educate the community, particularly the younger generation. Many Americans lost trust and respect for law enforcement. We felt that it was an important task to build community relations here in Anderson, SC. This is how we came up with Bridging the Gap 1 by 1.
